Scientific research discovered a new patented, active compound, aloeride®, and demonstrated it is the most potent immunostimulatory ingredient derived from Aloe Vera on macrophages, the immune system's first line of defense. Macrophage function is important for wound healing and collagen production.

The National Center for Natural Products Research at the University of Mississippi conducted tests with human cell lines to locate the source of Aloe Vera’s immune system stimulation and discovered that aloeride®, with a high molecular weight between 2 to 7 million daltons, provides macrophage activation in excess of any of Aloe Vera’s polysaccharides.
